01Overview

ROBBAESWRRLD (the “Site”) is the personal website of Robbie Altshuler (“I,” “me,” or “the operator”). This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have over it.

The short version: I do not run ads, I do not use third-party analytics, I do not build profiles on you, and I never sell your information. The only details I personally receive are the ones you choose to send me through a form. Most other data stays on your own device. The sections below explain the rest in full.

02Information you provide

Contact and inquiry forms. The Site has a general “Let's Talk” contact form and several Shop inquiry forms (for website projects, management, and other requests). When you submit one, I collect the information you enter, typically your name, email address, phone number, and any message or project details you choose to include. I receive this only when you press send.

These submissions are delivered to my email inbox through Formspree, which acts as a processor on my behalf (see How information is shared).

03Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually every website, the hosting and security layer automatically processes basic technical information needed to deliver pages and defend against abuse, for example your IP address, browser type and settings, device and operating system, the referring page, the pages and files you request, and the date and time of access. This happens at the infrastructure level and is handled according to Cloudflare's practices.

04Information stored on your device

The Site stores a small amount of information directly in your browser using localStorage and sessionStorage. Except where noted, this information stays on your device and is not transmitted to me:

  • Age confirmation. Your “18+” answer is remembered for your browser session so you are not asked again on every page.
  • Game data. If you play the skateboard game, the Site stores a randomly generated player ID and your local high scores.
  • IP address. When the skateboard game loads, the Site requests your public IP address from a third-party lookup service, ipify, and stores the result in your browser. The request itself discloses your IP address to ipify; the stored value is not sent on to me.

You can erase all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

05What the Site does not do

The Site does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or tracking pixels, and it does not build behavioral profiles. There are no user accounts and no passwords. Anything you create in the Music Pad is generated and saved entirely within your browser; the audio is never uploaded, and if you share it that happens through your own device's share sheet.

06How information is used

  • To respond to your messages, inquiries, and requests.
  • To provide and maintain the Site and its features, including the age gate and game scores.
  • To keep the Site secure, available, and free from abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations where they apply.
  • I do not use your information for advertising, and I do not sell it.

08Cookies & local storage

The Site does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. It uses your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage only for the functional purposes described in Information stored on your device. Because these are not used to track you, no consent banner is shown; you remain in control through your browser settings, where you can view or clear this data at any time.

09How information is shared

Running the Site involves a few trusted services that process data only so the Site can function. I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

  • Formspree receives and delivers form submissions to my inbox. Privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare hosts the Site and provides content delivery and security, processing request logs as part of that. Privacy policy.
  • ipify returns your public IP address when the game requests it. About.

I may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of myself or others.

10International data transfers

The service providers above are based in the United States and operate globally, so information handled through them may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Where required by law, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses).

11Data retention

Form submissions are kept in my email and Formspree account for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain a reasonable record of our correspondence, after which they are deleted on request or when no longer needed. Information stored in your browser remains until you clear it. Cloudflare retains technical logs in accordance with its own retention practices.

12Security

The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and relies on reputable providers to handle data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so while I take reasonable measures to protect your information, I cannot guarantee absolute security.

13Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. To exercise any of them, email me at robbiealtshuler@gmail.com and I will respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.

  • Everyone. You can ask me to access, correct, update, or delete the information you have sent me, or to stop using it.
  • Canada (PIPEDA). You have the right to access your personal information and challenge its accuracy, and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
  • EEA / UK (GDPR). You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • California (CCPA / CPRA). You have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” (though I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined), as well as the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Because the Site does not sell or share personal information, it already operates consistently with Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

14Children & age requirement

The Site is intended for visitors who are 18 years of age or older, which is why you are asked to confirm your age on arrival. It is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (and, in any event, not from children under 13). If you believe a minor has provided information through the Site, contact me and I will delete it.

15Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

The Site does not track you across other websites and does not serve targeted advertising, so there is no cross-site activity to switch off. Because browser “Do Not Track” signals are not handled consistently across the web, the Site does not respond to them differently; but since it neither sells nor shares personal information nor tracks you across sites, your privacy is preserved regardless, and the Site already operates consistently with Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

17Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the Site evolves or as the law changes. When I do, I will revise the “Last updated” date at the top, and any material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

18Governing law

Except where overridden by mandatory local consumer or data-protection law that applies to you, this policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or want to exercise a privacy right or have something you sent deleted? Reach me at robbiealtshuler@gmail.com or through the contact form. If you are in Canada, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; in the EEA or UK, your local data protection authority.
